Such
Pain

Summary: Gollum
has always been a multi-sided and mysterious character.
Here's my vision of him.
This
poem was written for Parma's sixth poetry challenge.
~***~
A
great void, the sensation of a hole
And were hopelessly falling, no hand to hold
Darkness surrounds us, but now it is pointless
My Precious is not here to fill the emptiness
Torn
we are, anger, need and despair
And a pain so deep that it seems endless
The loss of it is like a nasty burn
Which consumes our frail body, pitiless
We
are bound to it forever
Our greatest fear, our darkest desire
It pours into our soul, it awakes our body
Its the seed of everything you see
Precious,
My Precious
Once you were ours
But now we are weeping
Until our last hour

Challenge
If there's one character (at least to my knowledge)
that felt a wide range of emotions, that character
is Gollum - from love to hate, and guilt and remorse.
Write a poem about Gollum, using one of these (or
any other) emotions as the poem's theme.
